![poetry vessel - afternoon friends]()
This piece is hand-built and fired in my Brisbane studio.
It is a one of a kind piece featuring a poem from my book ‘count me the stars’.
Although poems are repeated on different vessels each one is unique.
It is made of a white earthenware clay, and has a creamy matte glaze on it.
Please note each of the vessels are food safe, but as they are carefully handcrafted, I advise not to use them in a dishwasher, nor submerge in water for any length of time.
This piece measures approx – 25cm diam x 6cm high (9.9” x 2.35”)
The poem featured on this vessel is:
tell me again of afternoon friends, of square tables in gardens round,
of shattered stars that dare not cry
washing teased by yesterday rain
and breaking sunlight by.
and i will draw you of yourself and paint this ceiling blue
and i will cast this echo back
and i.... i will love you.
